Load
From A Disk version 5.0 Released For Shipment.
Version 5.0 of Load
From A Disk has been released. This update includes new program additions,
enhancements to existing sections, and completely updated databases.
We're committed to keeping Load From A Disk the best internal and external
ballistics software on the market. With many new features, improved
performance, and the latest bullet and cartridge data, this is an essential
upgrade.
Here is a list of
new features:
- New Firearms Database.
Keep track of all your firearm information such as make, model, caliber,
scope, serial no., barrel length, and purchase price in one convenient
database. You'll have quick access to the database to perform reload
calculations, eliminating the need to re-enter data.
- New Ammunition
and Field Results Section. Transfer your hand-load results to the ammunition
section and store addition information about the load you've developed.
You can also print an ammo box label. The Field Results page allows
you to enter actual field data in a log for comparison or reference.
- Ballistic Coefficient
corrections are available inside the trajectory calculation by entering
the actual field conditions.
- New File Management
system makes it easier to store, find and maintain records.
- Updated bullet
database of over 2000 bullets including weight, length and BCs.
- Updated cartridge
database includes over 1200 cases.
- The rifle load
section supports several new powder lines.
Program improvements:
- Rifle loads are
easy to create by just selecting a rifle, case and a bullet from the
database and putting them together. It's like having a virtual reloading
workbench.
- Flexible databases
to enter your own custom bullets and cartridge cases. No limit to what
you can create.
- Easy comparison
of multiple traces on the same trajectory graph. Includes correction
for cross-wind at various angles.
- Export rifle load
and trajectory data and graphs to Microsoft Excel (requires MS Excel
version 97, 2000, or XP).
- Download free database
updates (bullets, cases, and powders) over the Internet.
- The software runs
on Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, and Windows XP.
