Load From A Disk version 4.0 Released For Shipment.

Version 4.0 of Load From A Disk has been released. This update includes many new enhancements and tons of new data. We're committed to keeping Load From A Disk the best available internal and external ballistics software on the market. With loads of new features, improved performance, and instant access to bullet and cartridge data, this is a significant upgrade. We believe you'll think it's the #1 ballistics software, at a very reasonable price. Here is a list of new features.

  • Rifle loads are easy to create by just selecting a case and a bullet from the database and putting them together. It's like having a virtual reloading workbench.
  • You can add your own bullets and cartridge cases to the database (in case we missed one) so you're not limited in what you can create.
  • A dimensioned sketch of each case is provided, plus the program will draw a sketch with entered case measurements.
  • You may compare up to five traces on the same trajectory graph. You can also save all five traces into one file.
  • Includes a new bullet displacement chart of bullet drop and bullet drift for various wind speeds. The chart is printable to attach to your rifle's stock.
  • Bullet trajectories can now factor in the crosswind angle in addition to wind speed.
  • You may enter personal notes of related information to your hand loads and trajectories. A great place to store field results.
  • Export rifle load and trajectory data and graphs to Microsoft Excel (requires MS Excel version 97, 2000, or XP).
  • Copy and paste data and graphs to any Windows program such as Microsoft Word.
  • Database updates (bullets, cases, and powders) can be downloaded over the internet.
  • Over 2000 bullets and BCs are included in the database. We've updated all the BCs and dimensions from the current list, plus added some new bullet lines.
  • Over 650 cartridge cases are available in the database, including some popular wildcats.
  • The rifle load section supports new powder lines.
  • The software runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, and Windows XP.

This is a program that serious reloaders can fall in love with.

W. Square's founder, Wayne Blackwell, has been developing ballistics software for over 18 years. Intelligration Systems Group of Houston, Texas was again instrumental in programming the software application. This latest Windows version is another furthering of their ballistics technology.
