Load From A Disk for Windows version 2.0 Released For Shipment.

W. Square Enterprises has released the much anticipated Version 2.0 of Load From A Disk for Windows. The software performs both internal  and external ballistics calculations along with a host of calculation tools and a database of nearly 2000 bullets. With loads of new features and improved performance this is considered a significant upgrade. Here is a list of some new features.

  • Display up to three trajectory paths (or bullet velocities, bullet energies, bullet times of flight, etc.) on the same graph for comparison.
  • Bullet 'Wind Drift' and 'Time of Flight' data is now given with trajectory data (graphical and tabular form).
  • Store your own bullet data in the bullet database.
  • Bullet database has been updated with latest known information from the manufacturers.
  • More flexibility in moving data between calculation forms without having to retype input data.
  • Determine a barrel's optimum rifling twist.
  • Calculate a bullet's ballistic coefficient given two velocities (at two ranges).
  • Calculate a bullet's ballistic coefficient given the bullet trajectory path (at two ranges).
  • Determine the bullet's ballistic coefficient from its size and shape.
  • Calculate a bullet's muzzle velocity given the bullet trajectory path (at two ranges).
  • Print trajectory graphs in color.

Something no other ballistics software can boast of is Load From A Disk's ability to perform internal ballistic calculations. Given bullet and case information the software can determine the best powders and how much to use in order to develop an optimum cartridge load. This is a program that serious reloaders can fall in love with.

This latest version is available in both 16-bit (Windows 3.1) and 32-bit (Windows 95, 98, or NT) versions and either on CD-ROM or 3.5" floppy.

W. Square's founder, Wayne Blackwell, has been developing ballistics software for over 15 years. Intelligration Systems Group of Houston, Texas was again instrumental in programming the software application. This latest Windows version is another furthering of their ballistics technology.
